Senior Systems Engineer


The candidate will provide SETA support for the acquisition of ground systems cooperatively with Government, FFRDC, and other SETA contractors. Candidate should be knowledgeable in the areas of systems engineering, strategic acquisition and either ground systems, space systems or mission operations.

The candidate's responsibilities include:

 

  • Providing day-to-day collaboration with Government, FFRDC, SETA, developers, and mission partners

  • Providing oversight, monitoring development and integration activities, ensuring alignment with Government requirements and objectives

  • Establishing and maintaining mission thread packages, documenting the development, technical specifications, and customer needs / requirements

  • Establishing and maintaining the Systems Interface Description, linking together the operational and systems architecture models

  • Advising senior and mid-level government managers on acquisition decision regarding space and ground projects

  • Providing technical recommendations and engineering solutions on the development and integration of new and modified capabilities for the warfighters

  • Tracking closure of discrepancy reports concerning space and ground systems


Required Qualifications:

 

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph;

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution;

  • Experience in engineering and/or acquisition of Intelligence Community (IC) and/or DoD spacecraft systems;

  • Knowledge of IC and/or DoD acquisition roles, processes, and/or program management;

  • Domain knowledge in ground software, space development or mission operations;

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment with excellent communication skills; and

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor'S STEM degree

  • Advanced degree

  • Experience with IC and/or DoD space and ground architectures

  • Experience working within or closely with the customer's Acquisition Offices

​
